To our friends and members in Ohio and in those states and districts noted:
We don't need members of Congress who vote against the interests of consumers, investors, women's rights, and unions. We want the following Ohio members of Congress [and those noted ]voted out of office when their term is up.
Steve Driehaus of Ohio - voted for the Garrett-Adler amendment, that permanently exempts companies with a market value less than $75 million from a requirement mandating that outside auditors assess a firm's internal procedures to protect itself against fraud, waste and accounting errors. All publicly traded companies are required to comply, though smaller firms have been exempted for the last several years over cost concerns.
John Boccieri [Ohio 16] Voted against House Healthcare Bill H.R.3962 We forgive Dennis Kucinich because he wanted single payer and refused to compromise his position.
John Boehner [Ohio's 8th district] (obstructionist, party of "no" and absolutely no ideas to fix this economy
Every Republican Representative in Ohio (they voted against the Healthcare Bill; and they have absolutely no ideas to fix this economy)
Even though Congressman Stupak of Michigan is not an Ohio representative, he and 64 Democrats dealt a blow to women's rights with his anti choice amendment Stupak also relished his support from Republicans who voted against the House Healthcare Bill. Congressman Joe Pitts (R-PA) co-authored the Stupak-Pitts amendment.
Senator Joe Lieberman [I - Conn]: who is threatening to fillibuster with Republicans unless the public health insurance option [that would keep health insurance companies honest] is excluded from a Senate healthcare reform bill.
Senator Mary Landrieu [D-LA] who has a large number of uninsured and poor constituents; but is opposed to the public health insurance option, along with every Republican Senator.
Senator Ben Nelson (D - Nebraska ) Last week it was the public option, this week Senator Nelson is using the abortion issue to stop healthcare reform. Senator Nelson (we believe) does not want to pass a healthcare reform bill and is using whatever he can to try to justify a "no" vote. He is therefore on our Congressional hit list.
